Village Sales Consultant
We usually respond within two weeks
We're looking for an experienced, results-driven Village Sales Consultant to join our team at Bream Bay Retirement Village on a fixed-term basis until the end of May. Located in the Ruakākā and One Tree Point area, just 30 minutes south of Whangārei, this role will see you guiding prospective residents and their families through their retirement living journey.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded salesperson who enjoys building relationships, achieving targets and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You'll play a key role in driving sales of our independent living residences, managing prospective residents through their buying journey and supporting new residents as they settle into village life.
With a limited number of new residences available for sale during this period, you'll need to be proactive, resourceful and focused on making the most of every opportunity. You'll bring the sales skills to convert enquiries into successful outcomes, alongside the empathy and relationship-building ability to guide people through an important lifestyle decision.
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday. We understand the importance of flexibility and are open to discussing working arrangements with the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
Driving sales activity to achieve agreed targets and maximise opportunities within the village.
Proactively managing enquiries, nurturing leads and converting prospective residents into sales applications.
Building genuine relationships with prospective residents, their families and key decision-makers.
Hosting engaging village tours and showcasing our independent living residences, amenities and lifestyle offering.
Identifying opportunities to generate new leads through networking, referrals and community engagement.
Managing an active sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and a positive customer experience.
Supporting new residents through the transition into village life, including post-move-in follow-up.
Working alongside Marketing and village leadership to support local sales initiatives, open days and promotional activities.
Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity in HubSpot.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a confident, proactive salesperson who understands how to balance commercial results with a genuine, customer-focused approach.
You'll ideally bring:
Proven B2C sales experience, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in consultative or relationship-based selling, ideally within property, retirement living, lifestyle or another consumer-focused sales environment.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify, nurture and convert sales opportunities.
The ability to connect with an older demographic, understand their needs and build trust with customers and their families.
Confidence presenting, influencing purchasing decisions and negotiating successful outcomes.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
A self-motivated, target-driven approach, with the initiative to work independently and take ownership of results.
Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot to manage leads and sales activity.
A full, clean driver's licence.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys sales, takes pride in delivering results and understands the value of creating a positive experience for customers throughout their journey.
