The role

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our ICT team in our Auckland CBD office. In this role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of data insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making
• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
• Lead the adoption and integration of Microsoft Fabric into the organisation’s data ecosystem
• Champion data governance, integrity, and literacy across the business
• Mentor team members and contribute to the development of best practices in business intelligence
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable BI solutions
• Promote a data-literate culture and support training initiatives
• Contribute to the organisation’s data strategy and support enterprise-wide data initiatives

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or analytics roles
• Proven track record of delivering insights that influence strategic decisions
• Advanced proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components and lakehouse architecture
• Experience supporting or implementing data governance frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Tableau Desktop Specialist are advantageous
• A passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
