We usually respond within two weeks
The role
Our Hawke's Bay Central Laundry team is looking for a reliable and motivated Laundry Assistant / Driver to join us.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same! You'll split your time between working onsite in our central laundry and getting out on the road, driving our Class 1 laundry truck to collect and deliver linen to our care facilities and retirement villages across Hawke's Bay.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in their work and loves being part of a supportive team.
This is a permanent part-time role, with shifts across weekdays and Sundays. Flexibility to work across the roster is essential.
What you'll be doing
Collecting and delivering laundry to our Oceania care facilities and retirement villages across Hawke's Bay
Safely driving our Class 1 laundry truck and ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and on time
Assisting with daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding and organising linen
Loading and unloading laundry, ensuring everything is handled with care
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
Completing vehicle checks and maintaining accurate driving records where required
Working alongside a friendly team to keep our laundry services running smoothly
What you'll bring
A full, clean New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence – essential
Confidence driving a larger vehicle and navigating local roads
A reliable, punctual and organised approach to your work
A good level of physical fitness, as the role involves lifting, loading and being on your feet
A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed
Great attention to detail and pride in delivering a quality service
The ability to work independently when out on deliveries
Flexibility to work rostered shifts across weekdays and Sundays
Previous laundry, delivery or similar experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential
