What nursing looks like at Woodlands

You'll have the opportunity to practice at full scope within a nurse-led service, bringing together clinical expertise, leadership and genuine connection with residents.

You'll:

• Take ownership of the clinical care of your residents, completing comprehensive assessments, planning care and responding as their needs change.

• Use your clinical judgement and autonomy to make decisions that support safe, high-quality resident outcomes.

• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families and whānau – getting to know the person, not just their clinical needs.

• Work closely with your fellow nurses, care team and other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes together.

• Provide guidance, coaching and clinical leadership to care staff, helping others to grow their capability and confidence.

• Notice when something could be better and contribute ideas and solutions that improve the way we care for our residents.

What you'll bring

Most importantly, you'll be a nurse who cares about doing good work and doing it well.

You'll also bring:

• A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

• Confidence communicating with residents, families, whānau and other health professionals.

• The ability to support, coach and bring out the best in others.

• Good organisation and time-management skills.

• Experience using clinical systems; InterRAI experience is an advantage, but isn't essential.

• Flexibility to work across a roster that may include weekends and night shifts.
