Employment Relations Specialist

Could you be our next ER star?

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Employment Relations Specialist or a business partner with a strong penchant for ER to join the People & Culture team Oceania Healthcare where we have big ambitions and an even bigger heart.

Reporting directly to the GM People & Culture, you will be our employment law guru. You'll be part of the lead team helping to design our people and ER strategies including designing, planning, & implementing fabulous people policies which empower our people to believe in better outcomes for residents.

You will be an excellent relationship builder as you will be the "go to" person for our people leaders when it comes to all things ER, like providing guidance and advice on employment investigations or complaints, providing pragmatic advice, based on relevant legislation, business requirements and our people policies. You'll be their coach and they will love it when you make their lives easier.

What we're looking for?

We're a small team so this is not the role for a newbie. We're ideally looking for someone with 5 years plus in ER, employment law. The industry you've come from matters less than your ability to learn on the fly and to write and communicate clearly and with heart. Previous union or bargaining experience would be super helpful as you'll be our lead on that. And you will have managed cases, designed and delivered ER training and be able to build our leader's capability. Our industry is regulated so the ability to understand regulations and interpret them into plain English is important.
