The role

Our Whareama Central Laundry in Nelson is looking for a part-time (41.5 hours per fortnight, possibly more) Laundry Assistant / Driver to join their dedicated team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with all aspects of laundry services
• Making deliveries and picking up laundry from our care facilities and retirement villages
• Ensuring all linens, clothes and bedsheets are washed, folded, and organised neatly
• Keeping your work area clean and tidy
• Following set policies and procedures to ensure all areas are safe, and hazard-free
• Enjoying a role with plenty of variety.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in a similar position and with chemical handling
• The ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• A commitment to delivering an excellent service
• A full, clean NZ driver's licence
  
• The ability to keep a clear logbook
• Confidence in identifying basic vehicle maintenance
• A good level of physical fitness
• A team-first attitude, an eye for detail, and the ability to multitask
• The ability to work on a rostered shift basis
• The right to work in New Zealand.
