Village Services Coordinator - The Bayview

We are seeking a full time Village Services Coordinator to join our team at The Bayview in Tauranga. The position is for a fixed term period of 6 months, with the ability to extend given business needs.

This role will suit someone who is dynamic and passionate about providing quality customer services.

This is a varied role where no two days will be the same, you will be a key face of the village and a "go to" person for our residents and suppliers. You will work closely with the Village Manager to help coordinate different projects around the village, working across both front of house and back of house, ensuring the resident experience is of a high standard.

  • Be polite, patient and confident
  • Be proficient in English
  • Hold a full clean driver's licence

Laundry Assistant - The Bayview

The Bayview in Tauranga is seeking a part time Laundry Assistant to join our fun and supportive team.

Working as part of a team, your role varies from general laundry assistant duties. The key purpose of the role is to undertake general laundry duties and assist with all aspects of the laundry service under the direct of the Guest Services Manager.

The role includes the washing, drying, ironing of our resident's personal clothing's, along with the washing of our residents in our dementia unit, we have across the room, from our facility.

You will be someone who is passionate about cleanliness and have high standards of hygiene. You have a caring attitude and a helpful nature to support and assist the team during busy hours.

The role is Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with other days available when staff are on Annual leave. The hours are 8.00 - 3.00 each day.

We are looking for someone who preferably has:

  • Previous working experience in a similar role;
  • A high standard of personal presentation and hygiene;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Good time management and interpersonal skills;
  • Awareness of Health and Safety policies including safe handling of chemicals;
  • The ability to drive a car that is a manual, to transport clothing from the laundry back to the facility.
  • A full clean class 1 New Zealand driver's licence.

Chef - The Bayview

The Bayview in Tauranga is seeking a part time chef to join our talented kitchen team. The role is for 24 hours a week, however we're looking for someone who is prepared to pick up additional shifts to cover leave when required.

Working in a supportive team environment, your role is to support the provisions of foodservice operations under the direction of senior management.

You will be someone who is passionate about cooking and serving meals that not only looks good but tastes amazing. Meeting the needs of our residents comes naturally to you, you will be a team player, with a positive 'can do attitude' who is always ready to go the extra mile.

Key Requirements

  • Completed a culinary apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
  • Eligibility to work in NZ;
  • Ability to work rostered shifts
  • Excellent customer and people relationship skills;
  • Holds safe food hygiene handling certificates Safe Food NZQA 167, 168, 20666 or 27955
  • Ensure resident confidentiality
  • Takes ownership and accountability;
  • Has good time management and leadership skills;
  • Passionate, committed and a good team player.
