This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to be part of our new clinical team in a brand new facility. Green Gables is our newest centre to be launched and is located right in the heart of the sunny Nelson CBD.

Reporting to the Village Manager and Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for completing InterRAI assessments, developing care plans with the resident and their family/whanau, as well as providing direct nursing care to residents. You will also provide leadership and supervision to a team of experienced, dedicated Healthcare Assistants.

To be successful in this role you will have: ‚Äč

  • A current New Zealand Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • InterRai experience
  • Previous experience using clinical systems
  • Sound communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor other staff
  • Eligibility to work in NZ

Maintenance Person - Green Gables

Green Gables is our newest centre to be launched, right in the heart of the sunny Nelson CBD. Our new, modern Village will boast beautifully appointed independent living apartments and luxury Care Suites. The complex has architecturally designed living spaces and communal areas for our residents to enjoy.

This is a role that will utilise your skills as a 'Jack of all Trades' to undertake maintenance duties at our facility. We need someone that is reliable, can think outside the box and is self-motivated.

You will be approachable and friendly as you will have interactions with our residents, visitors, staff and external contractors. This is a part time role, 25+ hours per week.

You will be a team player, who has a professional approach to their work with a friendly and helpful manner who takes pride in their work. This role will be permanent part time, 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday mornings - start time flexible.

Nurse Practitioner - Gerontology

This exciting opportunity has arisen as we continue our journey to achieve clinical excellence. The addition of the Nurse Practitioner role is an important new part of our clinical team and will provide primary care services and oversee the delivery of complex clinical needs across our care centres.

We understand the enormous value that the Nurse Practitioners bring to supporting the nursing team and therefore are seeking Nurse Practitioners who can deliver high quality primary care and nursing services within an aged care context.

We are establishing positions New Zealand wide, and welcome expressions of interest or applications from Nurse Practitioners in all regions, particularly, Taupo, Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Nelson, and Christchurch.

As a nurse practitioner in Oceania you will work across a group of care centres to:

  • Provide primary care services to our residents
  • Oversee the treatment and care planning of residents with complex health problems, including assessment, diagnosis, and prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions
  • Create and maintain links with DHB specialist services
  • Provide professional supervision and mentoring to RNs to ensure that care is informed by the latest international evidence
  • Lead clinical quality improvement programmes and practices, including monitoring, auditing and reviews of case records

Successful applicants will be committed to providing clinical excellence, with special interest in gerontology, and be natural clinical leaders who value collaboration and teamwork. Experience practising in the primary care sector will be an advantage. You must be registered with the Nursing Council in the Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice with a valid practising certificate and be willing to travel regularly between assigned facilities in the region.
