Activities Assistant - Elmwood

We are seeking a part time Activities Assistant at Elmwood in Manurewa, Auckland, to join our friendly team and homely environment. Hours are Sunday and Monday, 9am-4pm.

As an Activities Assistant you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Diversional Therapist to create and implement fun and varied activities programmes for our residents.

You will be passionate about understanding residents' activities needs and encourage them to take part in these programmes. You will also understand the importance of following our company policies and procedures to create a safe environment for our residents.

Kitchen Assistant - Elmwood

We are seeking a part time Kitchen Assistant to join us in our homely atmosphere at Elmwood, in Manurewa. Hours are Wednesday and Friday, 3pm-7pm, while we're looking for someone who's able to pick up more shifts when available.

You will be assisting with meal preparation and general kitchen duties and be passionate about preparing food to a high-quality standard. Mostly for morning and afternoon tea and you will be responsible for assisting our healthcare team in serving our residents for their lunch and evening meal.

In return you will have access to NZ accredited training and development opportunities with ongoing mentoring by our experienced kitchen team.

Key Requirements:

  • The ability to work on a rostered shift basis
  • Baking skills an advantage
  • Great communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Experience in a similar environment would be an advantage
  • Eye for detail
  • Ability to follow set cleaning procedures
  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit

Healthcare Assistant - Elmwood

Elmwood in Manurewa is seeking a part time Healthcare Assistant to be part of our care team. We're looking for someone to cover one shift on Saturday nights from 11pm-7am, while there will also be the opportunity to pick up further shifts.

You will have the natural ability to build rapport with residents, staff and visitors. Your kindness and caring nature will shine through as you will bring smile to their faces while ensuring our residents needs are met, while providing exceptional care.
