Cleaning and Laundry Team Leader - Duart

Duart Rest Home and Hospital in Havelock North is seeking a team leader for our Cleaning and Laundry team. We pride ourselves on the excellent experience we offer to our residents and their families so if this sounds like you come and join our great team.

You will have the natural ability to build rapport with residents, staff and visitors. Your kindness and caring nature will shine through as you will bring smile to their faces while ensuring our residents needs are met, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times by the team. Managing the team to ensure that all laundry is sorted and back to our residents each day (the actual laundry is completed off site) and that all cleaning tasks are completed as per the cleaning schedules we operate for resident rooms and public areas will be your key focus. You will be working as part of the team as well as managing and ensuring co-operation and communication across the team is clear.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Previous cleaning experience, ideally leading a team
  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Be a team player
