We are seeking a full time Activities Assistant at Eden in Central Auckland

As an Activities Assistant you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Diversional Therapist to create and implement fun and varied activities programmes for our residents.

You will be passionate about understanding residents' activities needs and encourage them to take part in these programmes. You will also understand the importance of following our company policies and procedures to create a safe environment for our residents.

Workforce Planning Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Workforce Planning Manager to join our team here at Oceania Healthcare in our support office in Central Auckland.

Working as part of the Clinical team, you will be analysing workforce data to develop plans and policies for the clinical care workforce needed at service level to provide quality care and meet professional practice requirements.

Using your outstanding relationship building skills, you will work with the HR Team, Operations Managers, and Regional Clinical Managers, to develop workforce policies that ensure effective and efficient utilisation of clinical and care staffing resources that meet the needs of Oceania and our residents.

You will report to the General Manager, Nursing and Clinical Strategy, Dr Frances Hughes, ONZM, CNZM.

Key Tasks Include:

  • Developing frameworks for ensuring that staffing matches the acuity and frailty of residents and monitoring the impact;
  • Ensuring that the clinical and care workforce meets regulatory and professional practice requirements;
  • Working with Regional Clinical Managers in maintaining regional casual pools of RNs and HCAs including recruitment costs, budgets and staffing allocations;
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of Oceania's PDRP.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the health sector, including management or leadership, preferably some experience in the ARC sector;
  • A relevant post-graduate tertiary qualification;
  • Hold a current NZ Nursing Registration (preferable);
  • Experience in the same or a similar workforce planning role;
  • Have an understanding of the regulatory environment within or related to the health sector;
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, at all levels;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Being results focused and thriving on challenges;
  • An advocate of continuous improvement.
