People Team Coordinator

What is the role about?
We are looking for a new People Team Coordinator for our People Team based by Victoria Park in the city.

From running our core HR information systems, managing our people records, drafting employment agreements, screening CVs and reporting, this role has a bit of everything in it. It's definitely the glue that holds the team together and makes us all succeed.

We're a small team so there's a lot of opportunity to extend beyond the scope of the usual HR Administrator role. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in training, event organization, OD, recruitment and ER matters. There will be a team of senior people who'll be delighted to help you learn and grow in this role.

Who would this role suit?
It would be a great step up for an HR administrator who's who is keen to move in time into an advisory role, or a career administrator who is keen to broaden out into the people arena.

Attention to detail is also pretty critical, especially as you'll be drawing up employment agreements, liaising with payroll and running reports. You'll be the type of person others seek out to correct their grammar and formatting! You won't be afraid of asking questions, giving and seeking feedback.

We believe there is always room to do things better so if you are the kind of person that loves process improvement and simplifying how things are done with the end customer in mind and challenging the dumb rules, that would be a massive advantage. You'll have loads of initiative, be resourceful, able to connect the dots and can pick things up quickly.

You need to have well developed administrative and organisational skills and an eye for detail to assist with the delivery of a super-efficient people function. You'll definitely need great excel, reporting, and IT skills.

Talent Acquisition Lead

We are seeking an enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Lead to join our People and Culture team here at Oceania Healthcare. This is a full-time role, based at our Support Office right across from Victoria Park in Auckland.

Reporting directly to the new GM People and Culture, you will be responsible for developing strategies to enable Oceania to source great candidates both from New Zealand and internationally. It involves the development of standard job success profiles, recruitment campaigns as well as traditional recruitment activities such as negotiating PSA's, recommending, and implementing best practice recruitment tools, screening CV's, conducting interviews, and hiring great employees with current and future potential.

You will need to be organized in your thinking and able to pull together compelling appraisals, recommendations, and suggestions in writing and verbally to make the lives of the hiring manager's easier.

You will be self-motivated and have enough expertise to be able to manage your workload and work independently. Being super organized and resilient will be what sets you apart.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems
  • Have an understanding of immigration processes
  • A real passion for recruitment and development of recruitment strategies
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in the Office Suite
  • Eligibility to work in NZ.

Employment Relations Specialist

Could you be our next ER star?

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Employment Relations Specialist or a business partner with a strong penchant for ER to join the People & Culture team Oceania Healthcare where we have big ambitions and an even bigger heart.

Reporting directly to the GM People & Culture, you will be our employment law guru. You'll be part of the lead team helping to design our people and ER strategies including designing, planning, & implementing fabulous people policies which empower our people to believe in better outcomes for residents.

You will be an excellent relationship builder as you will be the "go to" person for our people leaders when it comes to all things ER, like providing guidance and advice on employment investigations or complaints, providing pragmatic advice, based on relevant legislation, business requirements and our people policies. You'll be their coach and they will love it when you make their lives easier.

What we're looking for?

We're a small team so this is not the role for a newbie. We're ideally looking for someone with 5 years plus in ER, employment law. The industry you've come from matters less than your ability to learn on the fly and to write and communicate clearly and with heart. Previous union or bargaining experience would be super helpful as you'll be our lead on that. And you will have managed cases, designed and delivered ER training and be able to build our leader's capability. Our industry is regulated so the ability to understand regulations and interpret them into plain English is important.
